Winter Treats // Mini Christmas Puddings

FOOD

Now that our kitchen is well on the way to being finished I just had to get in there and make some Christmassy treats! This is the time of year where healthy food sort've goes out the window and you just want comforting indulgent food to see you through to the new year, and these mini Christmas pudding treats are exactly that!

You Will Need //

200g milk chocolate
a couple of handfuls of mini marshmallows
a couple of handfuls of rice krispies

To Decorate //

100g white chocolate
red berry & green leaf Christmas sprinkles (I found these in Morrisons!)

This is such a quick and easy recipe without too many ingredients, yet they look sososo cute when they're all made up. There's no need to be super precise when measuring out ingredients either - win! Just break up the milk chocolate and melt it down either in the microwave or over a pan of boiling water on the hob (top tip - value chocolate seems to melt better in the microwave, so no need to go expensive with the chocolate!) Then just melt the marshmallows and rice krispies down in a pan before stirring in with the chocolate - this smells so yummm.

Now for the messy part - making little chocolatey balls of goodness - just roll them up and lay them out on a baking tray; they will need to be popped in the fridge for a good ten minutes to cool before you can decorate them. Melt down your white chocolate before drizzling it over your balls (ha!), then simply decorate it with a couple of red berries and a couple of green leaves per pudding and there you have it - the cutest mini Christmas puddings you ever did see!

Do you like getting in the kitchen at Christmas? I'd love to know what else anyone makes!
