Moisturising Skincare // Super Facialist, REN + Lush

BEAUTY

Although I have quite dry skin all year round, in winter I like to adda little extra hydration into my skincare routine. I though I'd share three of the products I've been loving for the last month or so for their moisture boosting qualities.

The weird looking thing on the left is the Lush Full Of Grace Serum Bar which comes in a solid form that can be softened in the palms of your hands before being massaged into the face. It contains a load of really great skin calming and nourishing ingredients including murumuru butter, calamine powder, a rose petal infusion, almond oil, portobello mushrooms and chamomile blue oil. I find it to be really soothing on any dry patches and it absorbs into the skin quickly upon application. It also has a lovely soothing scent - nothing too strong or overly floral, but really fresh and slightly herbal. I find it a really relaxing one to apply as you can really massage it onto your face and I think it's pretty good value compared to a lot of facial serums on the market!

Another lovely budget friendly skincare option is the Super Facialist by Una Brennan Rose Hydrate Calming Creamy Cleanser. I've been using this as the second stage in my double-cleanse routine (basically I take my makeup off with Bioderma or an oil/balm cleanser first and then use this afterwards). I like to do this as it really gets all the dirt and makeup that's built up on my face over the course of the day off and leaves my skin feeling really soft and smooth. One thing I love about this cleanser is the smell - it's very sweet and girly with rose and marshmallow notes. It comes out of the tube packaging as a white cream which I like to massage into my skin before using a hot muslin cloth to remove it. My skin always feels really moisturised afterwards with none of that horrible tight feeling you sometimes get after washing your face! Up until recently I'd never tried anything from the range but now I'm really excited to try other bits as it's really affordable and easy to get hold of (just pop down to your local boots!).

Last but not least is a long standing favourite of mine that I've been using rather a lot lately - the REN Vita Mineral Omega 3 Optimum Skin Oil. This one is a little more on the pricey side but it's a really lovely product and has lasted me a really long time. I use this in a few of different ways; sometimes on it's own to massage into my face before bed, underneath a moisturiser (again in the evening) or I sometimes add a couple of drops to my moisturiser in the morning. I know a lot of people think that facial oils will make the skin greasy but this isn't the case at all and I find it really helps with evening out my skin-tone, healing any scars from old spots and soothing any dry patches. If you've never tried a facial oil before - this is one I would highly recommend! What are your favourite moisturising skincare products?
