Elderflower Cocktails // St. Germain

FOOD

When it gets to this time of year I'm all about the cocktails - mmmmmm. I prefer sweeter ones on the whole but this recipe is really light, crisp and refreshing and it includes my new favourite spirit - St. Germain, which is a gorgeous elderflower liquor - it's perfect for cooling down on a hot summers day.

To make 1 cocktail you will need:

25ml Vodka
25ml St. Germain
A dash of elderflower cordial
A squeeze of lime
Soda water/ Lemonade (depending on how much of a sweet tooth you have!)
4 Slices of Apple
2 Raspberries
Sugar for the glass rim
Flower to garnish

Start by dipping your finger into the elderflower cordial (sounds weird I know haha!) - run it round the rim of the glass then dip it into some sugar so that it sticks around the edge. Next add the vodka, st. germain and a splash of elderflower cordial into the glass before squeezing in a little lime. Pour in the soda water or lemonade (or a bit of both) depending on your preference, before adding the apple, raspberries and flower to garnish - so simple yet so tasty!
